Desire

I have no desire for 'certificates of piety' by flaunting pictures of Umrah, Hajj, or charity.

Unlike the pretenders, I am not obsessed with flashing statuses of Northern hilly areas to project wealth. I don't share the 'intoxicated' craze of taking selfies in malls and luxury hotels, nor is it my aim to intimidate others by posing with bureaucrats, politicians, or the establishment. I am not one of those shallow souls who post tours of Europe and the Gulf just to portray themselves as deities.

Your work speaks for how 'giant' or 'mighty' you truly are. My family's grace and my own conscience do not allow me to use others as a crutch to build my identity.

I am a brand in myself.

I walk with the help of Allah alone, and in Him lies my entire trust. This is me—distinct from all of you.

Preaching or Storytelling? A Scholarly Critique of Maulana Tariq Jameel's Controversial Statements

1. The Matter of the Funeral Prayer of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Claim: Allah Himself performed the funeral prayer (Janaza) of the Prophet (PBUH).

Scholarly Reality: This claim contradicts the Quran, Sunnah, and the consensus (Ijma) of the Ummah.

Reference: According to Imam Ibn Kathir (Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah) and other historians, the Companions (Sahaba) performed the funeral prayer in groups without a single leader (Imam). Allah the Almighty is pure and beyond performing prayer, as prayer is an act of servitude. Allah sends "Salat" (blessings/Durood), not a funeral prayer.

2. Insulting Analogies Regarding the Prophets (A.S)

Claim: Prophet Yusuf's (A.S) face was blackened, and he was paraded through the city on a donkey.

Scholarly Reality: Prophets are infallible (Ma'soom) and the chosen servants of Allah.

Reference: Surah Yusuf in the Holy Quran testifies that Allah granted him honor and authority after his time in prison. No authentic narration mentions such humiliation; this is mere fabricated storytelling that violates the dignity of Prophethood.

3. Exaggeration Regarding Paradise and the Hoors

Claim: Allah applying makeup to the Hoors, extracting "juice" from the Quran, or the wedding feast (Walima) of Prophet Isa (A.S).

Scholarly Reality: While the blessings of Paradise are true, depicting them in a manner that feels like a "profane film" or a worldly "club" is contrary to the spirit of religion.

Reference: The Quran states: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for the eyes" (Sajdah: 17). According to Hadith Qudsi, Paradise contains wonders that no eye has seen and no ear has heard. Restricting it to crude tales of "wine and women" is a scholarly betrayal.

4. Improper Attributions to Allah the Almighty

Claim: Allah laughing at Prophet Musa (A.S) while he was running.

Scholarly Reality: Attributing human emotions (like laughing or mocking) to Allah in a way that diminishes His Majesty is extremely dangerous.

Reference: The Quranic principle is: "There is nothing like unto Him" (Ash-Shura: 11). Attributing qualities to Allah that do not befit His Divine Majesty is a path toward misguidance.

5. Tone Regarding Hazrat Aisha (R.A)

Claim: The Prophet (PBUH) harshly scolding Hazrat Aisha (R.A).

Scholarly Reality: The Seerah (biography) of the Prophet (PBUH) testifies that he always treated his wives with extreme gentleness.

Reference: The Hadith states: "The best among you is the one who is best to his family." Using words like "scolding" to add a dramatic flair to storytelling falls under the category of disrespect (Gustakhi).

The Fragrance of Prophetic Discourse: Beyond Chains of Narration

How an intuitive "spiritual taste" can distinguish between authentic tradition and fabrication.

The recognition of Prophetic discourse (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is not solely dependent on the technicalities of Isnad (chains of narration). It requires a specific spiritual intuition, intellectual depth, and a refined sense of discernment—a "spiritual taste" that is not granted to everyone.

I recall a time before I had even reached the threshold of puberty. I heard popular narrations such as, "Seek knowledge even if you have to go to China," and "My companions are like stars; whichever of them you follow, you will be guided." Even then, my innocent heart remained unsettled. My mind refused to accept that these could be the words of the exalted Being upon whom the Divine Revelation (Wahi) descended.

The Argument of Reason

At that age, I possessed no formal expertise in the science of Hadith, yet my mind held arguments that were impossible to dismiss. I used to wonder:

On the China Narration: What kind of knowledge existed in China during the 7th century that would necessitate leaving the divine light of Makkah and Madinah? The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) never exhorted others to do something without first presenting himself as a practical example. Since he himself never traveled to China, what was the purpose of sending the Ummah there? The truth remains: no knowledge surpasses Divine Revelation.

On the Stars Narration: The Companions numbered in the hundreds of thousands, each with distinct temperaments, habits, and intellectual levels. They held legitimate scholarly and legal differences. How then could the absolute, unquestioning following of every individual be the sole criterion for salvation? The Quran clearly declares that absolute obedience is reserved for the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) alone.

Validation Through Scholarship

Years later, as I matured and delved into the rigorous study of Hadith, my childhood intuition was proven correct. I discovered that what my heart rejected, the masters of Hadith had also questioned:

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi categorized the "China" narration as Mawdu’ (fabricated).

Al-Albani declared it "false," echoing the intellectual sentiment that its text contradicts reason.

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal and Imam Al-Bayhaqi found the "Stars" narration to be extremely weak, while Ibn Hazm explicitly labeled it a fabrication.

The Intuition of a Jeweler

Ultimately, it comes down to a "spiritual discernment." Just as a jeweler instinctively recognizes a diamond among shards of glass, a heart acquainted with the fragrance of Prophetic speech can identify alien or artificial words.

This recognition does not solely rely on the verdict of earthly traditionists; rather, sound intellect and the light of faith testify to the truth. You can simply sense whether a word has the majesty to have emerged from those sacred lips.

Spiritual Marketing and Cosmic Realities: The Myth of Multan’s "Shams" and the Sun

By: Honey Bin Tariq

In our society, fabricated stories attributed to saints have become "lucrative products" for shrines and their custodians. One of the most prominent of these "products" is the tale of the "Meat and the Sun" in Multan, sold for centuries as a grand miracle. Let us analyze this story through the lenses of history, science, and logic.

1. The Historical Deception: Tabrizi vs. Sabzwari

Viewed through the mirror of history, the shrine in Multan does not belong to Shah Shams Tabrizi at all.

Shams Tabrizi: He was the world-renowned mentor of Maulana Rumi, whose life was centered in Konya (modern-day Turkey). Authentic historical records provide no evidence of him ever visiting Multan.

Shams Sabzwari: The shrine in Multan actually belongs to Shah Shams Sabzwari, an Ismaili missionary who came from Sabzevar, Iran.

The Analysis: Custodians took advantage of the name "Shams" to market an Ismaili figure as the famous Sufi (Tabrizi) to capture a larger "market" of mainstream devotees.

2. The Legend of the "Lowered Sun" in the Court of Science

The legend claims that the saint beckoned the Sun, which descended to roast his piece of meat. Modern science classifies this claim as "Cosmic Suicide."

The Scale Disparity: The Sun's diameter is 109 times larger than Earth’s. A scientific fact: 1.3 million Earths can fit inside the Sun. It defies logic to suggest that a celestial body millions of times larger than Earth could "land" on a tiny plot of land in Multan.

The Horror of Temperature: The surface temperature of the Sun is 5,500°C. If the Sun moved even 1% closer than its current distance (150 million km), every living soul on Earth would evaporate into steam in a fraction of a second. The Sun descending to a "spear’s length" means the instantaneous annihilation of the Solar System, not the roasting of meat.

Gravitational Collapse: The Sun’s gravity is 28 times stronger than Earth's. Had the Sun approached, it would not have "descended"; it would have swallowed the Earth like a tiny pebble, ending all life and planetary orbits.

3. Purposefulness vs. Disrespect to the Saint

According to the Quran and Sunnah, the Sun and Moon follow fixed orbits by Divine Decree and will not deviate until the Day of Judgment.

Moving a massive cosmic entity out of its orbit is no small matter. Does it befit the dignity of a saint to jeopardize all of humanity and turn the Earth into a ball of fire merely to satisfy a personal, trivial need like roasting meat? This story is actually a degradation of the saint, portraying him as someone lacking the patience to wait for a meal.

4. Shrine Economy and Public Manipulation

The extreme heat of Multan is a geographical reality (due to its proximity to deserts and distance from the sea). However, it has been rebranded through this "fake product" to:

Create a mix of fear and blind devotion among pilgrims.

Increase the revenue and offerings (Nazrana) at the shrine.

Keep the masses entangled in superstition, distancing them from scientific awareness and the true essence of Deen (Quran and Sunnah).

Conclusion

Science, logic, and authentic history unanimously reject this fable. The shrine in Multan does not belong to Shams Tabrizi, and the Sun never descended to roast meat. This is "counterfeit goods" sold in the name of religion. We must educate our nation about the reality of these fake products to lead them back toward pure Monotheism (Tawheed) and sound reason.

Mask

The bitterness in your words reflects a deep-seated social insensitivity that has taken root in a segment of our society. As a journalist and columnist, you undoubtedly observe these societal contradictions closely—where “status symbols” are often prioritized over true education and ethics.

The points you raised expose the double standards of our educational system and social attitudes:

1. School Prestige and Silence Parents pay exorbitant fees at elite private schools not just for education, but often to be part of a “brand.” Faced with the imposing administrative structures and protocols of these institutions, parents often feel intimidated, which is why they lack the courage to ask tough questions there.

2. The Home Tutor: An Easy Target Because a home tutor is directly accessible and often in a (comparatively) weaker financial position, parents exercise their full “commanding” instincts upon them. This behavior proves that we do not value knowledge itself; rather, we merely put a price on a service that we want at the cheapest possible rate.

3. The Contradiction in Logistics and Expenses It is a bitter reality that expenses for fuel, car maintenance, and luxurious school buildings are borne cheerfully. However, when it comes to a teacher who spends their time and energy to reach your doorstep through heat, cold, or rain, haggling over their fee is a sign of moral decline.

Reflective Conclusion

Coming from a lineage deeply rooted in knowledge, literature, and journalism—such as my late grandfather, Abdul Majeed Khan Sajid, who was a distinguished educator and Iqbaliyat expert—my grievance is natural. When a nation begins to treat a “Teacher” as a mere “servant” rather than the “architect of the nation,” degrees may be distributed, but true consciousness and grace (Faiz) vanish.

When Fatwas Fall Prey to Expediency: An Intellectual Paradox

By: Honey Bin Tariq

It has been one of the greatest tragedies in human history that power corridors have always used religion as a shield for their survival. Today, when certain clerics label political and social protest as "rebellion" (Khurooj) or "mischief" (Fasad)—branding it a path to hell—it is natural to ask: by what scale shall we then judge the Battle of Karbala, the greatest sacrifice in history against tyranny?

1. The Hussaini Character vs. The Courtly Narrative

If absolute obedience to the state and bowing before every command is the essence of faith, then why is the refusal of the Prophet's ﷺ grandson, Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), to pledge allegiance to Yazid not labeled as rebellion? The truth is, Imam Hussain (A.S) taught the Ummah that when the foundations of a system are built on oppression, coercion, and un-Islamic principles, silence itself becomes a sin.

2. The Politics of Fatwas and the Mantra of "Kharijism"

The reckless use of terms like "Kharijite" and "Rebel" in the current era reflects a profound lack of intellectual integrity. The Khawarij were those who took up arms against the champions of justice, not those who raise their voices for systemic reform and human rights. When scholars blur the lines between right and wrong to remain loyal only to "power," they lose their sanctity in the court of public opinion.

3. The Consequence of Intellectual Contradiction

The class that brings people to tears by narrating the calamities of Karbala from the pulpit, yet supports the henchmen of a Yazidi-style governance in practical life, is a source of intellectual chaos. We condemn Yazid, Shimar, and Ibn-e-Ziad because they trampled principles for the sake of power; therefore, there cannot be a different yardstick for those following in their footsteps today.

Conclusion

Islam is synonymous with "Justice," not merely "Order." If the fatwas of scholars are reserved only for the weak while providing cover for the injustices of the powerful, then such conduct is diametrically opposed to the Shabbiri (Hussaini) tradition. History bears witness that fatwas of expediency eventually fade away, but the voice of Truth remains eternal.
